Football England: all the dates of the Premier and National Cups

English football is ready to return to the pitch for a new and thrilling 2021/22 season. Here are all the dates not to be missed in the company of Premier League and National Cups.
Official dates of the new Premier League season and the various national cups:
- Premier League 2021/22 which will start on 14 August and will end on 22 May 2022;
- Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two instead will start on 7 August;
- The 2021/22 Carabao Cup will start on 9 August;
Premier League ready to go!
The Premier League 2021/22 is ready to return to the protagonist of the world football scene with many interesting ranking challenges and matches scheduled just over a month after England's sensational disappointment in Euro 2020.
In these days, all the dates that will immediately see Guardiola's City defend the title against Tottenham on the first day have been made official.
The season will end on May 22, 2022, with all 10 matches starting at the same time.
A lot of attention and schedule flexibility has been reserved for the Premier teams that will face the European competitions.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea will be the Premier League representatives in the 2021/22 Champions League.
Leicester and West Ham will be in the Europa League while Tottenham will participate in the Europa League Conference.
The 2021/22 EFL season kicks off on Saturday 7 August.
The competition, which includes the Sky Bet Championship and leagues ONE and TWO, will start regularly one week before the Premier League.
League One's next season will end on April 30, 2022, with League Two and Championship on May 7 and 8, respectively.
The League One play-off final will be held on Saturday 21 May, the League Two play-off final on Saturday 28 May and the Championship Play-off final on Sunday 29 May.
The dates of the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup
The first proper round of the FA Cup is scheduled for Saturday 7 November, with the third round set for Saturday 9 January and the final taking place at Wembley on Saturday 15 May.
After their suspension in 2020/21 (to reduce the number of matches in a very busy season due to Covid19 and the European Championships), the replays * are back as protagonists in the FA CUP.
* The English cup rules require only one single elimination match to be played; in the event of a tie at the end of 90 minutes, it does not go to extra time but to the replay of the inverted field match.
Replays will be mandatory in all rounds of the competition, even in qualifying matches.
The EFL has already announced that the 2021/22 Carabao Cup will begin the week starting on 9 August, with the final scheduled for Sunday 27 February 2022, at Wembley.
